Menus

Tiny gems nursery recognises and promotes healthy eating during all meal times, we believe that children should have a balanced diet and we work with the Eat better start better program to deliver healthy seasonal menus. Our menus include foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables, oily fish, meat / poultry; we also provide different cultural food to allow the children to explore new tastes and textures. Our cook has been with us for 16 years and prepares and cooks all our food from fresh.
We cater for all dietary requirements and allergies, we also provide halal meat, eat and an alternative for vegetarians.
We believe meal times should be a social gathering for the children and encourage staff to model eating and sit in small groups. Pre-school children are encouraged to self serve their dinner themselves to promote independence. We have recently received an award for good nutrition for under 5 years.
